General Troubleshooting Steps

Check for malware: Run a full virus scan using an antivirus software like Microsoft Safety Scanner, Norton Antivirus, or Malwarebytes.

Update your operating system and drivers: Ensure that your operating system, drivers, and software are up-to-date to prevent compatibility issues.

Disable any recently installed software: Remove any recently installed software or drivers that may be interfering with the installation process.

Issue 1: User Account Control (UAC)

Go to Settings > Update & Security > User Accounts

Click on “Family safety” and check if the “Notify me about changes to my device” option is enabled.

If it’s not enabled, enable it by checking the box next to “Notify you when someone signs in or changes settings.”

Issue 2: Missing UAC permissions

Check for missing user permissions on installed programs:

* Right-click on an application and select “Properties”

* Click on “Advanced” > “Security” > “Permissions”

Ensure that the program has all necessary permissions to run.

If you find any missing or restricted permissions, right-click the application and select “Run as administrator.”
